Position: People Services Director
Location: Kennewick, WA
Salary: $90,000 – $135,000 per year

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic People Services Director to lead the Human Resources department in Kennewick, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, extensive union experience, and a proven track record of managing HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in driving organizational success by fostering a positive work environment and ensuring HR strategies align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of Human Resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage labor relations activities, including contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and fostering positive relationships with union representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract, retain, and develop top-tier healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop workforce planning, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and employee well-being.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Extensive experience with union environments, including labor negotiations and contract management.
  • SHRM Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
