Job Summary

This position provides strategic leadership and oversight for quality programs and clinical performance across small- to medium-sized healthcare facilities (under 300 beds). The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, drives evidence-based care, and champions initiatives that improve patient outcomes, safety, and risk management. Responsibilities include overseeing accreditation, licensing, infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement systems; managing performance metrics; directing medical staff in peer review and practitioner performance; and aligning clinical quality initiatives with organizational strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop quality management strategies, policies, and improvement programs.

  • Oversee accreditation, regulatory compliance, and risk management activities.

  • Monitor and improve patient safety, infection control, and care quality metrics.

  • Provide expert consultation on healthcare quality, regulations, and performance standards.

  • Manage multiple departments, resources, and operational budgets.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align quality initiatives with organizational goals.

  • Use data analytics to identify trends, guide decision-making, and ensure continuous improvement.

  • Lead survey readiness, audits, and corrective action plans.

  • Build leadership capacity and promote a culture of learning and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in healthcare management or clinical leadership; 8+ years in clinical or administrative healthcare roles; 9+ years in leadership; 4+ years in budgeting and training delivery; 6+ years with data systems.

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or Public Administration (or related field).

  • Certification: Professional Healthcare Quality Certificate within 24 months of hire.

  • Skills: Quality improvement, compliance, risk management, data analytics, project management, evidence-based care, and stakeholder collaboration.

Compensation: $212,000.00 - $274,000.00 per year
