Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular Technician to assist in diagnosing and treating heart and vascular conditions. The Cardiovascular Technician will operate specialized imaging equipment, monitor patients during procedures, and work closely with cardiologists and healthcare teams to provide high-quality cardiovascular care. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
- Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment used for cardiovascular testing.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, positioning patients, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist physicians during angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker implantations.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports in electronic medical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiac care.
- Stay up to date with advancements in cardiovascular technology and procedures.
What qualifications you will need:
- 1 Year of Recent (Within the last year) ACUTE CARE Cath Lab Tech experience required!
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- ARRT registered or RCIS certification within 3 years of hire, if not a Rad Technologist with ARRT.
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
Compensation: $29.00 - $36.95 per hour
