Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Nurse Manager for Children's Services to oversee the daily operations of our pediatric unit. This role is responsible for leading nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and pediatric healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive pediatric nursing experience, and a commitment to providing family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pediatric nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices in line with pediatric healthcare regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital standards, state and federal regulations, and accreditation requirements.

  • Monitor patient care quality, safety protocols, and infection control measures.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.

  • Manage department budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.

  • Provide education and support to patients' families, ensuring a compassionate and supportive care environment.

  • Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

  • Address and resolve patient concerns, staff conflicts, and operational challenges.

  • Stay up to date with advancements in pediatric nursing and implement evidence-based practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)  
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing 
  • Minimum 3 years acute care Nursing experience in PICU, Pediatrics, or Children’s Services
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Charge, Coordinator, Supervisor, or Managerial and above
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 
  • Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 
  • Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date 
  • STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
MUST HAVE PEDS EXPERIENCE 
Compensation: $42.36 - $62.50 per hour
