Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU RN is responsible for delivering high-quality critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions, including multi-organ failure, sepsis, respiratory distress, and post-surgical recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care to patients requiring continuous monitoring and life support.
- Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, ventilators, and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer and titrate vasopressors, sedatives, pain management medications, and IV fluids.
- Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, infusion pumps, central lines, and other advanced medical equipment.
- Respond promptly to code situations and medical emergencies.
- Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and recognize signs of deterioration.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and document patient responses.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
Job Requirements:
· 1+ year of acute care ICU experience (Within the last 3 years) * Would be comfortable on speaking with someone that has acute care PICU experience
· Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required:
- If a candidate has 3 or more years of experience as an RN and if they have their compact license (They’ll still need to apply for the FL license) we can consider and move forward.
- If a candidate has less than 3 years of RN experience, they’ll need to take the NCLEX in FL and once they pass we can consider (This is if candidates do not have a FL RN License)
· BLS required
· ACLS required within 6 months of hire
· BSN is preferred
· CCRN preferred
Compensation: $26.40 - $39.60 per hour
