The Senior IT Project Leader is self-motivated, highly organized, and responsible for managing all aspects of assigned project(s). The Senior IT Project Leader is a single point of contact for all assigned project-related information, including the identification of stakeholders, evaluation of project management approach, and working with Information Technology and Business teams to formulate a viable plan to solve project objectives. The project planning includes all activities required to ensure deliverables meet project objectives. 
The Senior IT Project Leader creates and manages the creation certain Project Management Life Cycle, Product Development Life Cycle, and System Development Life Cycle artifacts such as the Statement of Work, Project schedule, Communications Plan, Risk Logs, Budget Management, Meeting Minutes, Test Plans, Implementation Plan, Change Logs, Lessons Learned, and accurately communicates project status, as needed.
Additionally, the Senior IT Project Leader works with resource managers to ensure proper assignment resolves conflicts to support AgFirst’s project priorities, and actively provides the leadership needed to meet the business objectives of the project.
What you’ll do
  • Provides the leadership to aggressively drive the completion of project business objectives
  • Uses leadership and influence to generate results by facilitating and documenting project meetings, decisions, and leadership to resolve project conflicts
  • Displays sound judgment by using business and project management experience.
  • Builds viable and acceptable project schedules, cost projections, and documents that aid in support of business decisions  
  • Responsible for adherence to quality standards
  • Responsible for all project management activities associated with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) project management life cycle (PMLC) and product development life cycle (PDLC) from concept through final production implementation
  • Brings teams together and yields positive results by using various communication skills to resolve conflicts, identify risks, and manage competing objectives and priorities
  • Suggests process improvement recommendations
  • Participates in external department business discovery and organizational job knowledge-sharing events to broaden awareness and effectiveness
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, finance, or related field 
  • 5 to 8 years of related work experience
  • Required: Successful implementation of multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • PMP preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of project monitoring and control techniques
  • Able to manage multiple competing demands simultaneously using excellent organizational skill
 
 
Compensation: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
