Position: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Physician
Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Salary: $300 to $400 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Physician to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ. This role offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of critically ill pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, specialized care to children requiring intensive medical management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Perform and oversee advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilation management as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress, ensuring timely adjustments to treatment plans based on clinical changes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing support, education, and updates regarding treatment and prognosis.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, nurses, and support staff to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based care in the PICU.
Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
  • Active medical license in the state of Arizona or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Proven experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
