Job Description:
We are urgently seeking three skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapists to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other conditions, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and alignment using immobilization devices and imaging technologies.
- Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions and report findings to the physician.
- Educate patients and families about the treatment process, addressing questions and concerns with empathy.
- Collaborate with the oncology care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Active Radiation Therapist license in the state of New Mexico or eligibility to obtain it prior to start.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail for operating complex equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support patient care and team collaboration.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and patient confidentiality.
- Experience in a radiation therapy setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
