Job Description:
Cardiac Neuro Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.

Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, revise, and delegate nursing care.
- Perform necessary technical skills as delineated through education, expertise, and unit requirements.
- Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
- Complete thorough neurological assessments to both conscious and unconscious patients.
- Manage emotional distress with family members.
- Assist in end-of-life care.
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and intervention.
- Initiate and titrate multiple, complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.
- Manage intubated/mechanically ventilated patients.
- Manage patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.
- Manage acute trauma patients.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
- 2 yrs OF RECENT RN acute care experience required. Telemetry and Cardiac experience required
- Current Florida State Registered Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification.
- NIHSS Certification must be obtained within 30 days. Required to work under NIHSS credentials RN until training certificate obtained.

- Salary Range: $29.00 (2yr)- $32.70(5 yr)- $36.81(10yr)- $42.13 (17yr MAX)
- Sign On: 10k; 2 Years commitment required.
